Our Programs

At Great Start Music School we serve Elementary School students grades K-12.

We offer 3 program alternatives: 

1. Private Lessons (K-12) are available for those who prefer or benefit from one-on-one instruction. 
2. Small Group Learning Program (K-3), private-style instruction with 2 to 4 children per group. 
3. Music Class Learning Program (grades 1-5), class-instruction up to 10 students per group, suitable for In-school, After School, Community Center and similar programs.

Why private music instruction?

At Great Start Music School we strive to provide the optimal learning environment for each student and their family. For some, the one-on-one instruction of Private Lessons provides that best setting. 

Each lesson includes 1 in-person session plus a follow-up check-in over Zoom or Meets.

Private Lesson Options:

- 30 minute in-person lesson/10 minute Zoom check-in ($45 per lesson)

- 45 minute in-person lesson/10 minute Zoom check-in ($60 per lesson)

Why small-group classes?

Great Start Music School's Small-Group Learning Program is an excellent and cost-effective alternative to private music lessons! 

In our Small-Group Learning Program, the 50-minute classes are small - 2 to 4 children per group; allowing for both individual attention from the teacher and pair/share time with other students. The small group environment fosters within each student a sense of belonging and agency in their learning process, making our classes engaging and dynamic - filled with the joy of making music together!

Why music-class instruction?

Great Start Music School's Music-Class Learning Program is a perfect match for instrumental music instruction within a school, after-school, community center or similar setting. 

Our Music-Class Program (up to 10 students per group) is an excellent introduction to instrumental music;  a warm and inclusive environment that gives the student a sense of belonging and agency in the process of making music together!
